domainname


just wondering how to change the domain name (in relation to an NIS server) permanantly.
i have been able to change it, but then on re-boot ot goes back to "(none)"

I believe I have found a work around for this problem. I started ypbind manually, logged into the system via Xfree, then used the service manager to start ypbind. When I rebooted this system, domainname displayed the correct value and ypbind starts successfully.

Now to figure out what the service manager under X does differently so that it can be duplicated on the command line.
