domain name server


I have windows machine as host and linuxserver as guest operating system using vmware.I am trying to make linux server as domain name server.i have installed bind package and start the service at /etc/named.what i should do more at linux server because when i put server name at windows dns ,it can't able to find it.
i have already established host networking in vmware ang i can telnet and ftp from windoes to linux server.
please tell me how to configure named files in linux edhat 7.2
if u can give me pdfs it wil be very good for me
