Unhappy HELP: domain missing or malformed.


hi everyone.

since a few days (this means that i don't know the exact time, and what i did wrong then), my console complains about the following:

Code:
/usr/sbin/sendmail: server didn't accept MAIL From, replied "501 root@_HOSTNAME_>: domain missing or malformed."
can anyone tell me what this is all about? please, anyone help me!!!
