Question domain

Ok, I registered a domain. My ISP added the entry in their name servers. EVerything resolves and all that is in place. Now, I'm trying to setup a mail server and I am using eXtremail as my server but when i try to configure it , it says no domain, i do have the domain, i updated the /etc/hosts file and stuff like that, what do i have to do for it to see it's a domain? I also updated the /etc/resolv.conf file with my domain informiation. Please let me know what i'm missing.

I took a stab at email a few months ago. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that when it says that there's no domain, it's not looking for an internet domain, but a PDC type of domain. They are two totally different things. An internet domain is simply a form of name resolution. You could have email without that by putting and IP address in the email instead like bob@123.123.123.123, I think.

Again, it's been a while since I played with it, but I believe this is right. I'm pretty sure your email server has to be part of a domain in order to work.
