Does Samba have Events

Hi all,

Just wondering if i can attach a process to an orwrite or onchange event in linux. basically i want to scan the file using a free command line anti-virus from mcafee or panda.

There is nothing like that in samba AFAIK but there are file monitoring tools such as fam that I'm sure you could interface with.

I've been reading up on FAM and it only monitors 1 folder level. is there anything else?
