DNS working after a few minutes
 

Ok, here goes. I have a multidomain webserver running on Mandrake 9.1 using BIND and Apache. All of the virtual domains work fine from most places. However, some locations that my users connect to cannot access the domains at all returning a 404 dns error. After a matter of time the DNS for the servers seem to come to life and function normally, other cases the sites still do not function. Is there anything you guys can think of?

Do you run your own DNS server as a public DNS ? Or just you private DNS?

I really don't know what is the difference? How do I tell I'm running BIND as a Caching name server. Does this help out any?

Should I post my zone file?
