Unhappy DNS Settings problem

Hi all !
Here is the deal :
I have a static IP and recently bought a domain name les2caps.com
The objective was to create a small webserver, webmail for me and my family.

NETWORK SETTINGS :
I have RED / ORANGE ( 192.168.2.x ) / GREEN ( 192.168.0.x ) with the following distro installed.
- Firewall ( Smoothwall 2 beta 5 )
- LAN ( Mdk 9.1 )
- Web / Webmail ( FreeEOS ~SME Server )

PROBLEM :
I've tried to setup Domain ( les2caps.com ) DNS as follows but when emailing to someone@les2caps.com , email is rejected by saying
Quote:
This address no longer accepts mail
I've changed the DNS settings by replacing the DNS IP by Mine but when sending an email, still nothing
I've tried to check a lot of thread but for now, i am completely lost..... any idea ?

Regards,

Pierre

les2caps. com. A 81. 56. 208. 153
webmail. les2caps. com. A 81. 56. 208. 153
*. les2caps. com. A 81. 56. 208. 153
ftp. les2caps. com. CNAME les2caps. com.
www. les2caps. com. CNAME les2caps. com.
les2caps. com. MX 10 mail. les2caps. com.
81. 56. 208. 153/24 PTR les2caps. com.

I can tell you one thing:
Quote:
[mara@mara mara]$ telnet les2caps.com smtp
Trying 81.56.208.153...
telnet: Unable to connect to remote host: Connection refused
Are you running a mailserver on this machine? It looks you don't (or you block it using a firewall).

Arghhh i forgot i did remove a port access into my firewall ....
was it 113 or 143 ? i cannot remember !

Which one is used by telnet ( or Webmail ) ?
Do i have to forward this port to my webmail server in the orange zone ?

Well, I used telnet not for normal telnet, but to act as a mail program. You need to unblock SMTP port (25) and probably POP3/IMAP. Yes, you need to forward it to the server.
