Hey,
This afternoon, I was experimenting with bind (with redhat-config-bind) for about my 10th time, and I finally figured out how to correctly configure and get a domain name working when I use my dns lookup server, but when I try to use any other dns lookup server, it doesn't work. Does anyone know what is wrong here? Thanks in advance if you can help!
What exactly are you trying to lookup? If you're trying to lookup a hostname in your domain then you may have to specify the FQDN if you didn't add your domain name to the search list in /etc/resolv.conf.

When I type nslookup in the terminal at home, which by the way is using my dns server for lookups (the same one I am trying to host the domain on), and here is what I get:
Just to make sure you understand, I have configured the config file above in redhat-config-bind gui. At my house I use my own dns server, which is the server I am trying to host the domain on. At home I can ping the domain name, and do nslookup in my windows command promt and it will resolve the host name in to the IP. Unfortunately, when ever I try to resolve on another server, no other servers know that it exsists. Has anyone ever had a problem like that?
