How do I get my child domain to get resolved to my name servers IP?

I want to be able to ping my domain "mydomain.myclassdomain.com"
and get my ip address resolved so that i can goto

http://mydomain.myclassdomain.com and get my website and send email to
users@mydomain.myclassdomain.com

i dont want to have to goto

http://myhostname.mydomain.myclassdomain.com or email
users@myhostname.mydomain.myclassdomain.com

any help would be great

my box is RedHat and the "myclassdomain.com" box is win2003 server eval incase u need that info... same as win2k tho as far as DNS... also i want to be able to resolve
"myclassdomain.com" also so any help there would be awsome

resolving from outside our network of course with a registerd domain and public IP

You need the nameservers that are authorative for myclassdomain.com configured to return responses for your desired child comains.

This means either getting whoever is currently providing you with DNS to do it, finding someone to provide DNS in the way you want and getting the record for the domin pointed to the new DNS server or running your own DNS.
