DNS Problems when moving networks.

I'm experiencing a problem with one laptop running Debian 2.6.18 /testing. I configured the laptop on one network but when I switch to another network I'm unable to resolve hostnames. I checked resolv.conf and it indicated the correct DNS servers when I'm at work and when I am at home it points to 192.168.1.1 which is my router and DNS. The funny thing is I have two other laptops 1) ArchLinux 2) Gentoo but they don't have this problem. If I open firefox I can reach the sites I've already visted while connected to my work network. If I ping the sites that can't resolve and use the iP I can reach them. Finally, if I connect using my Airprime card I'm able to browse without a problem too. Any help would be appreciated.

have you checkt your arp table? perhaps it's a simple problem with your cache
run
arp -d (i think) that should do the trick if that is where the prob lies

DNS issues with Debian

I cleared the ARP table and it's still not working. I did however narrow the problem down to my Debian install. It's the only Linux os which is doing this as I confirmed by installing it on my desktop too. I have Arch running on my desktop and it's able to access the internet. I installed Debian and I can ping anywhere but I cannot open firefox and resolve any websites but Yahoo & Google. It's clearly a DNS issue but I checked the resolv.conf and confirmed it's settings are correct. I'm starting to believe it might be the distro and the router BWA711 (model). Is there a setting I should check on my router? The next step is to bypass my router all together and plug directly into my cable modem. I will do that in a bit but if anyone has any idea's I'd appreciate the help.
