dns problemos with logon win98 client

Every where you search for to create your own dns server they say it`s very easy. if you read the lines it looks easy but when it doesn`t work you have a problem what`s messed up *@@#$%

I have a SuSe8.1 and i am trying to logon with a win98 clients on the server i use samba for the users in win98 they also exist in linux. The client get his ip adress from the server.

My problem is when i try to logon with the client the client can`t find any servers , but when i cancel the networklogon and ping to the sever i get connection, so you should say the server is running.

how can i fix this problemmmm??
