dns problem

i have a server, some ISPs cant access my server using it's domain name but can access it using it's IP address.

what could be the reason?

this is not a firewall problem, i think the packets die before they reach their destination. how do i increase the TTL value ?

thanks in advance for your help.

I take it you have two name servers. First double check the nameservers in the NS entry of your domain.

Next check the nslookup with your nameservers.

On your PC:

nslookup
>server yourmasternameserver
>yourdomain.com

nslookup
>server yourslavenameserver
>yourdomain.com

see if you get proper response. Also check set type=soa and set type=A and set type=MX
