Question DNS IP Forwarding

I have redhat linux 9 and would like to set it up so that it handles the dns request for the network. How do I setup linux to handle all DNS request? basically In windows 2000 server you have a option where the server can be configured to forward DNS request to external ip address if it does not have a record about that computer. Can that be done in Linux

I'm not sure but I think this can be done directly in BIND (default *nix nameserver). Take a look to BIND howto and manual to find how. Look for something about "forward only server".
If you aren't using bind, then no clues
