Exclamation Dialup Connection Keeps Dropping

I have SBC Yahoo! Dialup and if I stay connected some where around more than 12 hours I get disconnected. When I setup the connection configuration in KInternet I set the time out to 0 so it wont time out, so I know it's not that. I have SuSE 9.1.

It would seem that I can never stay connected past 24 hours. I never timed it but I leave it connected over night to download stuff and when I get up it would be disconnected.

What other issues could be causing me to loose my connection? I have the exact hardware and the phone lines are all the same. When I had AOL on Windows I could be connected for 2 days straight on dialup.

So the only thing that has changed is the ISP and OS. So I don't know if it's something in Linux or my new ISP just doesn't like me on that long. But if the ISP theory is the case than it would be an even interval between the disconnects.

u could always check in the small print for ur isp connectivity. It maybe that when u leave ur downloads connected (depending on where u r downloading from) that activity may stop and ur isp will auto disconnect. Is it supposed to be an always on dial up connection?
