Dial up to fiends house


Hi all

Here is my question I want connect my PC to my fiends PC via a telephone net work.

Assume his home telephone number is 2290167
and my one is 2290456

both of us equip with modems.


what are the things I need and for accomplish this task.

What are you planning on doing once you are connected? Are you interested in programming or finding a program that will do this for you?

I am interesting on program code better in C++. Or fine tool that can connect to existing code like database connection.

My final objective is connect my oracle server via dial up

Sounds like you're after a PPP link. Assuming you are both using Linux or similar, the following document might be useful:

Particularly the "Dial-In" section.
