dial modem connection in ubuntu 8.04
 

have ubuntu 7.10 on external drive use dial up here.Installed
dial up with pppconfig +admin: network works wel
want to do the same on another external drive having ubuntu 8.04
installed on this drive using same method as above not been able
to achieve it Any suggestion please

When I was using dialup Internet I found that wvdial was the easiest way to set up a dialup connection.

want to use pppconfig+ adm network again in ubuntu 8.04 as i did in
ubuntu 7.10 no problem to get it in ubuntu 7.10 but ubuntu 8.04 wil not except it yet.got a serial modem dial up.netcom wave.
7.10 is on one external drive 8.04 on other one
