DHCPOFFER is not seen on br0

Hi,

I am using Linux 3.10 and facing a problem of my hardware not getting IP address. Onfurther analysis using wireshark I can see that my hardware is sending DHCPDISCOVER packets to the router, and router is sending the DHCPOFFER packets to my hardware but still my hardware is not getting IP.
Later when I used tcpdump, I have observed that DHCPOFFER packet is not seen on br0 .

Anyone faced similar problem anytime?

Thanks,
Kumar

DHCP is local to a broadcast domain (layer 2 segment). It will normally not pass through a router.

Could you elaborate a little further on your network. Why a bridge and is this an Ethernet bridge over a VPN?
