I recently updated my computer software ie wireless tools init scripts etc and now my wireless connection does not get an IP address assigned.


My router says that there is a valid connection from my wireless stick, but the router does not seem to recieve a request for DCHP from my wireless computer.




I have another computer which connects to the router via ethernet cable and it has no problems receiving an ip address via dhcpcd.


the name of my connection is rausb0, (rt73 driver)

I use the syntax

dhcpcd rausb0

debugging info shows the correct MAC address and broadcasting DHCP_DISCOVER

After about a minute it times out.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

might be wrong, but isn't that the kind of thing that happens when a wep key is wrong or something?
