DHCP works but node won't DL kernel

I'm setting up a cluster, and I have everything set up as far as I know. I don't think it even has to do with the cluster software.

On my node, etherboot runs finds it's IP Address/Server IP/Gateway but when it starts to find or download th kernel image, it just sits there.

Loading 192.168.0.254:/lts/vmlinuz-2.4.20-om2 ......

From what others tell me it's subposed to fill the screen with "."s.

My vmlinuz is in /tftpboot/lts/vmlinuz-2.4.20-om2 and I've tried adding the /tftpboot/ before /lts/ in dhcpd but the node sits at the same place.

Any ideas???

xinetd problem

ok i seem to have narrowed the problem down to xinetd. I found out tftp uses or is part of xinetd, i checked the status of it and xinetd will not start/stop/condrestart/reload/restart. this worked when i first installed my distro 7.2, but since i updated it won't do anything. How would i go about fixing or downgrading this version of xinetd?
