DHCP server could NOT deploy IPs to client


hi

I have suse Linux DNS server that works with with ISA Windows server. I decided to configure a suse Linux DHCP server with the same DNS server( I mean the same PC)......

I had added an additional network card and started the DHCP configuration
.

1. the problem is that none from the client can ping with DHCP server (it gave packet filtered)
2. the DHCP server could NOT deploy IPs to client


any help please

Check iptables rules on the DHCP server. Make sure that it is accepting packets on udp/67. Also, make sure that the dhcpd daemon is running.

Code:
#iptables -nvL
#/etc/init.d/dhcp(d) restart
#cat /var/log/syslog
