dhcp router


what would you guys suggest i want an easy fast no maintnence dhcp router. i am not a linux expert but i know a little. I wanna setup a linux box as a router. what distro would you guys suggest. Again something small but fast, easy to use and something were i can monitor every packet going over the internet in my house.

ipcop or smoothwall would be a decent choice. pretty sure they both to DHCP, althoguh i've never bothered setting it up myself.
