dhcp relay agent

Hi,

I have one RH7.1 machine set up as a router. One nic is set to 192.168.0.20 and the other nic is set to 10.0.0.1. There is another computer on the 10. network that had a static ip and it worked just fine. Could ping all computers on 192. network and even got out to the internet through the router. Now on the 192. network I have a dhcp server that gives out 192. addresses. I put in a second subnet declaration for the 10. network in dhcpd.conf. I also set up the dhcp relay agent on the router and it is listening. I have the other computer on the 10. network hardwired directly to the 10. nic of the router (crossover cable) and set it to up to use dhcp. But when it does it gets a 192. address instead of a 10. And of course nothing else works because it is connected to the 10. nic in the router. I also tried using the shared-network option with both 192. and 10. subnets.

So....can I have a set up like this and, if so, how do I get the 10. network to get the right addresses?

Thanks, Russ

Figured it out

Had to put the relay agent onto a different computer on the same subnet/network. It could not be on the router.
