DHCP problems after fedora update

Hi,

On Wednesday there were some updates and bug fixes that fedora 9 asked me to install and I did that and after the updates I lost my network connection. My eth0 interface is working and up, but it looks like my DCHP is not working anymore. My router acts as the DHCP server and all other sysems on my network are working and are being assigned IP, but not my fedora 9 system?

any ideas what updates my have killed the DHCP software on my fedora 9 system?

thanks,
n

Assuming you are using dhcpcd, what does ~$dhcpcd -d show?

No such command found. I do have the following though:
dhcp6c

I've typed dhcp6c -d eth0 and nothing happens it just returns back to the prompt?

What does it show when you type that by itself?

ok, I went to the Internet Systems consortium site: http://www.isc.org/index.pl and installed an older version of the DHCP packed going back to May. did a configure, build and make install on the package and all is working with DHCP now, whatever version Fedora 9's latest update is? its quirky?

cheers,
nick
