DHCP, Gateway and DNS server

Hi Guys,

I'm kinda new using the Linux. I am using the RH9 right now. I would like to setup a Gateway, DHCP and a DNS server. Can you please help me find a URL who can give a simple step-by-step configuration on the three? Another thing, is there a possiblity to log/restrict users who use the internet? I am hoping you can help me on this. Thanks alot.

How many users is this for? Sounds like IPCop Gateway\Firewall may be the easier thing for you to try.

Around 50 users. I was able to configure it in WIndows. Linux is a different story. Im quite new to this OS so still finding ways to do it. I will try IPCop and see if it works. Others told me I should use SQUID instead. How about the DNS is it complicated to configure?

Squid is actually a web proxy. I think IPCop includes Squid as well. IPCop is a gateway/firewall distro that does pretty much everything you are asking. DNS with dnsmasq is as easy as adding hosts to the /etc/hosts file.
