DHCP client ID

I am on a CENTOS 6.6 hp system that has a 5ghz, dual bit modem routner*(10.0.0.1) connected to another 5HZ router(204.12.x.x) and a gigbit switch. I AM NOT BRIDGED. My question is: i want to install centos on a new MAIN cpu. when i am doing the INSTALL i get to the point where it asks for the "HOSTNAME", and it also gives you the opiton to "Configure Network".
I select the configure network, then the "edit" button for system eth0, then select the IPV4 button, and one of the blank fields is the "DHCP client id" . What address should go in here: Is one like this 204.12.x.x, or a 10.0.0.x address?

What will you do?

Server or workstation?

If workstation, just give it a name. You usually use the short hsotsname (without the domain) but that is not required. How it is handled on the DHCPD side depends upon that software and how it is configured.

If server, you are better off manually setting the network options and NOT using DHCP. Who wants a server that they have to play "whack a mole" in IP space to find on the network every time the DHCP leases change?
