DHCP can't resolve Hostname


SUSE 10
DHCP server is handing out IP addresses can ping between server and client however I can only do this using the IP address.
I can't ping the HOSTNAME
Help

Dhcp

You check the /var/log/message log for u SuSE Box
and configure Your /etc/dhcpd.conf exactly or not

This is my dhcpd.conf file:
option domain-name "bhagwan.com";
option domain-name-servers 192.168.110.5;
option routers 192.168.110.1;
default-lease-time 14400;
ddns-update-style none;
subnet 192.168.110.0 netmask 255.255.255.0 {
range 192.168.110.30 192.168.110.254;
default-lease-time 14400;
max-lease-time 172800;
}

I can see the machine bramha in the log file I can ping the IP address 192.168.110.253 but I cant ping the hostname.

Ha Mr if u need to ping HOstname u must have BIND(DNS)
or Lmhost for Samba or hosts.conf or resolv.conf file's

to ping like name of the system but the DHCP it's work and
leased IP for the client

DNS Server hosts.conf and resolv.conf files are set up .
