DHCP and DDNS - not working

Hi there.
I've setup the DHCP and DNS servers on Redhat Fedora Core 4.
Both are working fine ... until the DHCP tries to dynamically update DNS records. It gives the following error in /var/log/messages:

Nov 22 17:28:33 dnslinux dhcpd: Unable to add forward map from test.example.com. to 192.168.50.20: timed out

I've checked the DNS zones on dhcpd.conf, named.conf and in separate zone files and they are ok.
The rights on all the files used by "named" service are ok. user and group is "named".

What could be wrong?
If anyone can help me I'd appreciate it.

Thanks.

hey there i'm not sure whats wrong, but i've been trying to get DDNS and DHCP working for ages now, do you think you could give me the how-to you used to get it work, what tools you used and anything you think would be handy information?

I'm having similar probs on my Mandriva box.

So far, I'm looking at the prob either being with the DHCP daemon's rights to write into the DNS files, or the DHCP daemon trying to write to the wrong/non-existent file.

Who knows?
