dhclient command not found

Hello !

I have a big issue in distribution Gentoo with this command dhclient because i don't know how i can install because i need this command for receiving some automate ip from my ISP (internet service provider ) and his script has this command but in gentoo i'm using the command dhcpcd but the script has this command dhclient.

Could someone to help me with this issue because i'm totally lost.

How about:

ln -s /sbin/udhcpc /sbin/dhclient

They're different programs and are configured very differently, but depending on how it's actually invoked, the symlink might work.

Another option is to find and install dhclient. You can also edit your scripts so that udhcpc is invoked correctly.

Oops - sorry - link to 'dhcpcd', not udhcpc (AUGH! too many DHCP clients to choose from!)

Well, that's where you can find the source. A Gentoo user can give you better advice on how to get a precompiled binary and install it.
