Dhclient and resolv.conf

I've been noticing some issues with my resolv.conf the last few times I've been running my system. NetworkManager left some garbage behind in the file and dhclient couldn't put any entries in it. So I cleaned it out (blank) and left it. Ran dhclient it put in the proper dns info, then about a minute later, it wiped the file, no idea why. I was still connected, could ping my router, etc. I had to manually put the stuff in the file.

Any idea what is up with and why it would be behaving that way? As far as I know I haven't made any changes to it.

This has actually occured in both FC5 and RH9. Both on the same machine, on multiple networks. It seems that dhclient just does not want to update the resolv.conf with the proper dns info, even though it udpates the ip, gateway, etc just fine. I've had to manually edit the resolv.conf the last 3 times I've tried to use the laptop.

This occurs both across wired and wireless connections.

Since I'm quite sure they are both running different versions of dhclient, I'm curious as to what might be causing this.
