Determine Printer Required For Print Job?
 

Hi there

I'm in an office where quite a lot of black and white printing is done on an ink jet printer, but only because the ink jet printer is required for the odd colour print job, and the people in the office don't want to choose between printers every time they print.

Would it be possible for a linux print server to determine whether an incoming job is color or b&w, and route it to an appropriate, pre-determined printer (eg. Laser for b&w, Ink Jet for colour)?

Are there any prepackaged solutions out there capable of this?
