Iam useing Fedora core 5 with 2 nics, when I run the route command I see that eth0 pointing to the right Destenation but the eth1 point to the wrong destenation.
I did edit the ifcfg-eth0 and ifcfg-eth1 the same but still the same rsult.
IP addresses starting with 169. are internal addresses. They are automatically given to a computer which is set to get an ip from a DHCP server when it can not be contacted. What does eth0 connect to? Either give it a manual ip address, netmask and gateway. Or make sure that what ever you are connecting it to (like a router) has got DHCP switched on.

I think freddie is talking abt eth1 up there.
@shahin : .... . EDIT : I really missed this "destenation IP gw Device"; Phew... & then i took shahin's route command output as a normal route command output. Thx oliv.

@oliv : Yes.. i misread that..... & hence corrected/edited my last post. Thx.
@ topic : You can certainly delete that route & add the correct one back.
I did not setup any of the network cards to use DHCP,
both nics are
eth0 static
eth1 static
one more question,
eth0 is connected to internet and eth1 is not connected at all, when I diconect the eth0 and plug the cable in to the eth1 to make a connection to the internet(just for testing)I have to add the gw manually for the eth1( I did add the IP, subnet and the gw manually to the eth1 and With ifconfig I see the right info)is this normal? or there is a way to solve this issue.
