Delete permanently a route
Hello everyone.
I have some machines with RHEL 4 and 5. In one of them I have the following route
route
Kernel IP routing table
Destination Gateway Genmask Flags Metric Ref Use Iface
192.168.246.0 * 255.255.0.0 U 0 0 0 eth1
169.254.0.0 * 255.255.0.0 U 0 0 0 eth1
default 192.168.246.1 0.0.0.0 UG 0 0 0 eth1
And, when i do
route del -net 169.254.0.0 netmask 255.255.0.0
the route dissapears, but when i reboot the machine the same route appears again!! :S
How can I remove it?
I have looked for /etc/sysconfig/static-routes and /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/route-X and these files doesnt exist.
