Debian Squeeze, Windows XP, VirtualBox -- XP not connecting
 
Hope everyones well...

I have a debian machine running squeeze which has virtualbox installed. Through VB i have installed windows XP, however i cant connect the XP virtual machine to the net. Have tried all options but im still faling. Anyone have any ideas ?

In the Network Settings-->Network-->Adapter 1 Bridged adapter set. You can set this before start XP, the guest. The cable connected box has an 'x'.

In XP, the connection for TCP/IP has Obtain IP address automatically and Obtains DNS automatically.

That is it, it works with V-box 4.0.10 and XP home edition. ( SP3 ) it that matters.

Hey,

Appreciate your response, but i tried and its still not working :S, have tried all the options now and been running cmd.exe and just doing the old ping www.google.com no idea why its now working :S have done this before and has all been good
