Debian PPPOECONF issue

Since we switched to IPTV, we've got a multi-LAN modem. But there is a problem. I can't do a PPP connection with the new modem. PPPOECONF gives me timeouts, so I can't set my new modem. The modem worked with a laptop, but not with my computer. I've tried reinstalling Debian, but upon installing it still gives me bugs (PPPOECONF is already on the CD and configures the net prior to the partitioning part, I use Wheezy). What is the problem? Are the wires bad? The LAN wire that I use for my old modem worked for the new modem (as the computer recognizes it). Or my network card went crazy to refuse the new modem? Or maybe PPPOECONF has a regression to this type of modem? Details:
Debian Wheezy (7, testing)
PPPOECONF 1.20 (latest)
Pirelli modem for T-Home DRG-A225G B-401-200-2-2 with Wi-Fi
LAN: whatever built in ASRock N68-VS3 FX
Can you help me? My old modem is going to be taken away at the end of the month.
