Debian machine connecting to OS X Mavericks
For some reason, I can't connect any of my debian machines to a shared folder on OS X Mavericks. It asks for the credentials then comes up with an error saying "Failed to mount share. Please select another viewer and try again". Has anyone had luck with trying to connect to a machine running Mavericks? I've tried Netatalk and afpfs-ng-utils with no success.

Not a Mac expert but you should be able to share a folder via SMB or nfs.

Mavericks updated their SMB to SMB2 which is having an affect on users. I am currently using Debian 6 Squeeze. I set up a test server with Debian 7 Wheezy and still had the same issue.

Roll back is not an option unfortunately. It was shipped with Mavericks.

then sadly from what ive read you are FUBAR. you might try sshd as a work around. this is not ideal, but for moving files around it should suffice.

NFS is the only protocol that currently works with Maverick.

make sure that if you are using NFS to keep in mind that OSx uses nfsv3, not v4 AND if your share is on a Linux system you will require the 'insecure' flag in your exports.
