Debian KVM host has no internet access
I installed KVM on my little file server to tinker about. I created a bridge from eth0 so I could ultimately have separate ips for the vms (currently just a minecraft server vm). Out of habit I was going to do an update & upgrade however it says it cannot resolve the sources.list entries. When I try to ping googles dns (8.8.8.8) it says cannot connect to network.
It's on the network because I'm doing all this through SSH. The server itself is headless. It had internet access when I installed KVM. I can only guess this has to do with the bridge I created for KVM. The VM has internet access but the host doesn't...?????????
*EDIT* Solved. For whatever reason when creating the bridge from inside the virt-manager on my laptop over ssh it didn't copy the gateway line from the eth0 settings. Adding that and all is well.
