Question Debian etch marvell yukon gigabit ethernet, random loss of connectivity

I am dualbooting XP and Debian Etch, everything runs fine except for the ethernet connection.

Sometimes, seems to be random surely isn't, I lose connectivity. When i disable eth1 end then reactivate it, it assigns me a static address of 192.168.***.***-type, when it should get it from my ISP via DHCP.

My specs are as follows:
Intel Core2Duo e6400
1024GB RAM
Marvell yukon gigabit ethernet card (How can i get its real name ? hardware-list...)

Please advise,

Sebastian Andersson
