Debian Dual Network

Ok Folks. This id driving me nuts This is the first time I have attempted to do this but here it goes.

I have 2 NIC's 1 that is on a private network and one that is on a public network.

eth0 192.168.3.7/24
eth1 216.206.x.x/25

I setup a route for 172.16.40.0/22 to go to 192.168.3.1 (the router off the 3.7 card)

I can ping out to the public until I try to go to that 172.16.40.x network. Once I do that it routes all traffic that way and then I can't get out to the internet. It is like it uses the ip address of eth1 when it sends traffic out the eth0.

Any idea's would be great?

Kevin
