D-Link Wireless card turns off after a suspend

I am running arch linux on a Dell Latitude D420. Because I could not get the built in wireless to work, I am using a D-link DWL-650+. I works great as long a I don't close the lid and suspend. If I do then in order to get it to work again I have to rip the card out and reisert it. Once I do it works fine again. I don't imagine that it is good for the card to be ripped out and put back in with as often as I am going to be suspending. Any help would be apreciated.

Thanks in advance.
