CUPS With Windows

I have a HP Laserjet 4 printer connected to a Windows XP machine. I am trying to print from Redhat 7.3 to the Windows XP machine through our LAN; however, I am confused as to how to configure the printer under CUPS and www.cups.org does not seem to contain those particular instructions. For instance, the CUPS wizard prompts for "location". So I type in the Window XP machine's IP address only. Then it asks for "device". I don't know what to put here so I tried these three:

Internet Printing Protocol (http)
Internet Printing Protocol (ipp)
LPD/LPR Host or Printer

Of course, I don't know how the data should be formatted. Let's say the Windows XP has the hostname "Pepe" and Workgroup "Workgroup" (same workgroup as I am on). How should I input the data then?

Cups does not support the SMB/CIFS protocols required to connect to a Windows Printer share. Windows does not automatically share printers using the LPR protocol. (Although Windows can print to such a printer).

Samba has this capability.

http://de.samba.org/samba/ftp/docs/h...a/ch07_02.html

It is also possible to find software to enable LPR sharing (through a separate program that runs as a service).

Good luck,
