Creating user directories in Apache root

Hi, I got my webserver up and want to know how do I allow users to have their own /home/user/public_html directory so each user can have their own little web space? I'm using XAMPP if that's important to know for doing this.

Take a look at this section of the apache documentation:
http://httpd.apache.org/docs-2.0/howto/public_html.html
