Creating a wifi "hotspot" using 2 wireless adapters. Ubuntu 10.

The system:
Netbook with on board wifi and Ubuntu 10 based OS
High powered Usb wireless adapter (connected to netbook)
Several handheld devices (phones, ipad etc)

The question:
The wifi for my building is quite a distance away, and cannot be picked up by the on board wifi of my Netbook or other devices, however it can be connected to using a high powered adapter and antenna.
I wish to connect a couple of devices to my Netbook, using the usb adapter to connect to the network, and then using the on board wifi as a hot spot. I'm guessing I would have to bridge the connections and turn the on board card into an access point, but this is the first time I've tried anything like this on Linux and was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction?

Tldr; I have 2 cards on one machine and want to bridge them somehow to join a network connection to a hot spot.
