Could not get interface address for socket!


Hello!

I'm trying to run X-plane (flightsim) over the network. Xplane uses UDP for multiple screens etc.
I'm running Kubuntu 5.1 Breezy on all machines and web applications and so on are working.

The problem is that when starting Xplane a window apears and says :

"Could not get interface address for socket!"

and in the network configuration of Xplane the displayd IP-address of the local machine is 0.0.0.0 instead of 127.0.0.1 or the assigned IP
without that, networking does not work :-(

Does anybody knows where I have to look to fix that?

please tell me what information you need to help me, as I am more or less a newbie in networking under linux

Seems I've had to add a route statement with 0.0.0.0 to fix a problem.

You might try google/linux "0.0.0.0 route" and see what comes up

but unfortunatly I can't find any problems in my routing table:
