could not add the windows client in SLES9 running ldap server

I am running a LADP server and SAMBA server (as a PDC) in SLES9 server. When I want to authenticate (add) a windows Client computer in that SAMBA network Domain, It asks the user name and password of the user who has the rights to add the computer. I am giving root and its password but it shows "access denied" what should be the problem?

I have changed the windows computer in to same workgroup as the SAMBA PDC is running. when I am browsing the shared contents of the SAMBA server it asks for the user name and password. here I am giving root and its password. Now i am able to browse the contents of the shared resources of SAMBA. At the Same time Computer account is also getting added in the LDAP Directory.

If anyone can help me in this regard, I will be more thankful....
