Could I share file on tmpfs via NFSv3

็Hi,

Anyone know how to share files on tmpfs partition via NFSv3. I tried to do, all i get is permission denied. Are there any similar solution to share files on memory based storage?

Thank you

I remember you made this topic before.

Did setting "fsid=0" not work? It works on my NFSv3 server here, at least for reading. Are you trying to do read/write to tmpfs?

NFS works actually

Dear MS3FGX,

Thank you for replying my threads again. Actually your suggestion work perfectly. I just want to know if there are alternatives to sharing file solution. From the nfs faq it said that

Local file systems that are known not to work with the Linux NFS server are: procfs, sysfs, tmpfs (and friends).

So, i got a little concern. But if there is no other way around, I would definitely implement your suggestion.

Thank you again. I'm really appreciate your suggestion and it really work.

Best regards,
Warorso
