well, actualy i have a work group for all the windows machines, and i wanted to start taking backup for them on the debian machine.
Then you simply would define the workgroup and from there on out go on the debian machine and create users for each computer that uses windows and a username on that machine. so then set a directory where you would like to store your files and be sure to set permissions correctly.
