Continuiously asked for password when trying to connect wirelessly. Fedora LXDE 22.

I posted this problem on the 'Newbie" forum, because I am new. I do have a resolution, but not a solution to the problem.

I am on an IBM Thinkpad R51 running Fedora 22 LXDE. My internet connection is managed by the default Network Manager. It automatically detects, and connects to the internet when plugged directly to the router via the Ethernet port. However, if I attempt to connect to the wireless network it asks me for my password over and over again without establishing a connection. The card is: Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless LAN 2100 3B Mini PCI Adapter

The resolution was to use a usb wireless adapter, Belkin 4050. It seems to work ok. I am using it right now. But, any thoughts as to a solution to the original problem so that I might use the internal network adapter?

I ran a command I found which showed me the Network Manager logs, and I thought the following might be useful information:

Aug 17 20:57:01 localhost.localdomain NetworkManager[786]: <warn> (wlp2s2): Activation: (wifi) association took too long
Aug 17 20:57:01 localhost.localdomain NetworkManager[786]: <info> (wlp2s2): device state change: config -> failed (reason 'no
Aug 17 20:57:01 localhost.localdomain NetworkManager[786]: <warn> (wlp2s2): Activation: failed for connection '*****'

As per this thread:
https://wiki.debian.org/ipw2200
you might check dmesg for reports on firmware loading.

In fact, you might not have installed the firmware:
https://admin.fedoraproject.org/pkgd...2100-firmware/

It looks likely to be a firmware issue if it can see and talk to the device but not use it.
