Connection to internet all right, but browser doesn't work???

Hi, I just got my wireless set up, and I know it works because I can ssh out and run gaim and ping places like google.com, but for some reason everytime i startup mozilla, or lynx, I can only connect to my homepage and then trying to open up another page causes the browser to freeze. Does anyone know what I can do? Thanks in advance.
