Angry Connection Refused telnet/ftp

Hello,

I installed a Red Hat 6.2 server out of my country in Panama (kernel 2.2.14-5.0.) This server is connected to internet. When I try to access this server, I get the message:

telnet: Unable to connect to remote host: Connection refused

Te people that works in Panama can access the server with out any problem

The machine in Panama answer ok if I run ping command.

I ask to the people that works in Panama that execute netstat -l, and ipchains -L.

Can you help me???

Just two of many things that could be the cause:

(I'll call the host you're telnetting from A and the computer running the telnet service B)

- Check /etc/hosts.allow and /etc/hosts.deny on B.
- Is B using ipchains or something similar to block connections?
