Connection Refused - site specific network problems Laptop running debian 2.6.0-test7
I am running Debian sid (unstable) GNU/Linux on my Dell Inspiron 4150, and have compiled the newest (2.6.0-test7) kernel with PCMCIA and Wireless built-in for the Trumobile 1150 Mini-PCI card (orinoco_cs). I am connecting successfully at all locations I have attempted, but in some locations, like my home, I cannot browse or check email. When I bring the interface (eth1) up and down it seems to work, and the DNS servers seem to resolve. I am able to PING sites on the internet and inside my local network, but things like apt-get fail with a Connection Refused (error 111).
The connection works perfectly at my work. Here is some config info:
# ifconfig

And the above info looks very similar when it DOES NOT work...I have been able to get my connection working at some wireless cafes, but tried it at a job site equipped with wireless and got the same results that I get at home (no http, but PING works).
I have tried PUMP and DHCP3 clients, with no change. Anyone got any ideas?
Confused,
Brady
